• Which vehicles can be charged with AC SMART EV charging boxes?

  Vehicles that work with type 2 charging plugs can be charged on all AC SMART EV charging boxes.

• Is there also a variant with a permanently attached cable?

  Yes, EV charging boxes with permanently attached cables are available in different cable lengths.

  • 11 kW: 5 m, 7.5 m and 10 m
  • 22 kW: 5 m and 7.5 m

• Is an AC SMART charging box eligible for KfW subsidy 442?

  Yes, our AC SMART VALUE and AC SMART ADVANCED are eligible for KfW subsidy 442.

• How many boxes can be integrated in load management?

  With load management, up to 16 boxes can be controlled via an AC SMART ADVANCED control box; load management with up to 50 charging points can be implemented with our load management system SMARTcharge.

• How can I connect my EV charging box to a local network using the AC SMART app?

  After you have successfully coupled your EV charging box with the app, you will be automatically sent to network setup to connect the EV charging box to an available network.

  • Touch the desired network connection (WLAN or LAN).

  If you have selected “WLAN”, a list of available WLAN networks will be shown on the next page.

  • Select the appropriate network and touch “Save”. You can give your EV charging box a custom name, which will be displayed in the future in the AC SMART app. If you do not make an entry, the default name will be retained.
  • Touch “Save” once again. Connection to the WLAN is complete.
  • Close the window. The home page will be displayed, and your EV charging box will be shown on it.

  If you have selected “LAN”, you will be asked to connect your EV charging box with an Ethernet cable.

  • Once the cable is connected, touch “Continue”. You can give your EV charging box a custom name, which will be displayed in the future in the AC SMART app. If you do not make an entry, the default name will be retained.
  • Touch “Save” once again. Connection to the LAN is complete.
  • Close the window. The home page will be displayed, and your EV charging box will be shown on it.

• How does PV surplus charging work?

  PV surplus charging can be realised with our AC SMART VALUE and ADVANCED through direct communication with the inverter or by installing an additional energy meter.

• How is integration into a backend system possible?

  Integration into a backend system is possible with all variants of our AC SMART VALUE and ADVANCED. These have the OCPP interface (Open Charge Point Protocol), which has established itself as the standard for communication between charging stations and backend systems. Our AC SMART can send messages to a backend or receive messages from a backend via OCPP 1.6 (J).
